TCONTOUR 3.0 - That triangular graphing program !!!!
Important note for users of versions prior to 3.0.
Documents saved by previous versions of Tcontour cannot be opened by version 3.0 because of additional information which is now stored with the data. In particular, user defined three phase fields can now have their vertices labelled (no more A-B-C and having to remember which corner of the triangle was which). Since the three phase field objects are now larger than before (by 96 bytes) the new program cannot open the old files - you will just get garbage or worse, the application will crash.
I have included an update application which you can use to bring your existing files up to version 3.0. Choose convert from the menu to open your existing version 2.x documents. The version 3.0 document will be saved with the same name followed by "3.0". Do this for all your existing tcontour documents now!
Improvements since version 2.2
A bug in the copy ing of the colour contour data to the clipboard has been expunged.
Line profiling has been incorporated and supports the copy operation in either TEXT or PICT format.
User definable weighting functions (the defaults are usually the best choice!).
Tcontour now supports ballon help for most menus and dialogs.
Imported files which are saved with the same name as their plain text file originals were not recognised by the finder as Tcontour formatted binaries. This has been fixed.
Resizing of the datalist now only occurs when the data window is zoomed - unfortunately zooming any window used to do this without you asking!
Both Serial and Parallel rules of mixtures are now supported.
The user may now define labels to identify the limiting points in a 3 phase field. Hence the caveat above!
